From a young age, music was a large part of Rab's life. He remembers listening to Enya's "Watermark" in his mother's lap as a child, and finding it to be very emotionally stirring, which is an important element of composing for him now. At age seven, he began to learn piano and has continues to play it now, as well as the guitar and bass guitar.
Rab began writing music in 2000 after becoming involved with the OverClocked ReMix community, which provided him with the tools to record his own piano-heavy, chord-based songs between remixes.
Seven years later, Rab's stylistic and thematic influences have evolved to a point where he has created a dreamy and sometimes dark fusion between melodic, piano-based ambience and the harder-edged industrial side of electronica.
He thinks of his music less as songs than as 'musical photographs' that capture emotions, and hopes to share that with others.
